Guided Implant Surgery GuidesImmediate Function Dentistry Laboratory
Dr. Marinic's on-site Galileos Cone Beam scanning equipment (replaces ordinary 2 dimensional dental xrays) and in-house dental lab enables our patients to have access to leading edge advancements now developing in the field of virtual dentistry.Design, selection and precision adjustment of guided implant surgery templates are performed by Dr. Marinic in his own onsite lab. Platinum and titanium components used in fixed bridges, overdentures and other prosthetic treatments are also adjusted as needed, on the premises. Dr. Marinic eliminates the need for patients to make repeated office visits that is commonplace in dental practices without a private laboratory. Treatment plans with immediate function components (e.g., implants, crowns, temporary dentures, etc) remain immediate. Approaching Dental PerfectionImplant surgical guides help dentists and implantologists provide their patients with treatment technologies and products that deliver a near perfect result in function and dental health.Dr. Marinic's investment in the Galileos Cone Beam scanning technologies and computerized imaging software enable him and his patients (patients are trained to understand imaging software) to achieve levels of accurate assessment and diagnosis that is unattainable with ordinary dental xrays. The patient oriented 3-D imaging training is quick and intuitive (some report it as being fun!). Treatment needs are viewed from the ground-up (starting at the inside of jawbone structures), all the way to the aesthetic appearance. No more guessing as to what structural issues exist. During the imaging consult, treatment needs and options for treatment (choice of products and procedures) are discussed and planned throughout the session. Our patients objectively know what is needed and the value of whatever choices they make for treatment. No surpise dentistry. Common errors do occur from time to time with the fabrication of restorative products. These errors typically include bulky crowns, inaccurate shading, poor fitting dentures, mismatched bridgework and platinum milling errors. These types of mistakes are addressed and eliminated immediately in most cases. Maintaining Cosmetics and Dental Function SimultaneouslyEveryone has heard the horror stories of patients focusing on cosmetic dentistry... only to have dental function that changes unexpectedly. Similarly, other common stories report a patient seeking a functional goal (e.g., stop grinding, eat more normally, etc) and complete treatment with a smile that isn't attractive or perhaps even ugly (bad dentures, mis-sized implants, gummy smiles). Our technologies and dental laboratory processes assure each and every patient, regardless of their treatment goal, that dental function and aesthetic result is always matched and normalized for optimum endurance. Common complaints of: teeth are too big, teeth are too small, unmatched in color, don't feel right, speech changes, excess saliva, temperature or pressure sensitivity .... and many others, are virtually eliminated. In complex reconstructive cases involving immediate placement of new teeth, along with a variety of other procedures, technologies and precision laboratory work, Dr. Marinic monitors certain laboratory fabrication procedures to assure that while Cosmetic goals are being maintained.... certain Reconstructive goals are being achieved which typically include normal jaw joint function (usually regarded as bite-occlusion-TMJ issues). Cosmetic Goals for the PatientInadequate control or monitoring of the reconstructive aspects of advanced implant technologies can result in bite problems, generalized mouth and gum pain, and onset of TMJ/TMD problems which may include migraine headache symptoms, etc.Our patients characteristically enjoy extremely short waiting periods while laboratory work is being completed. In rare events where adjustments are needed.... the laboratory work is often performed while the patient is in the chair.
